Mrs. Chase and Mrs. KeKey’s first-grade students are exploring the world of plants—from tiny seeds to fully grown plants. Together, they are learning about the plant life cycle, the different parts of a plant, and the important functions each part serves. The class has discussed what plants need in order to grow, as well as the ways plants help us and how we, in turn, can take care of them. Students also made LEGO plants and labeled them. Each day, the students are not only learning but also growing alongside their plants. #WeirExcellenceShines
