WES students celebrated National Dot Day in library on Tuesday. They listened to the story “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds and created their own masterpieces using dots.

Our 5th graders worked in pairs to read a news article about ancient megalodons and find text evidence to support their answers! Students practiced reading closely, collaborating, and proving it with the text!
Ms. Rush and Mrs. Rabun’s first graders had the best time learning all about the different parts of an apple this week! They had so much fun exploring, learning, and of course, enjoying a delicious apple treat—their favorite part! ❤️🍏

We are having a great start to the school year at WES. Students are working hard on their schoolwork, being respectful to their teachers and classmates, showing kindness to each other, and have a positive attitude. Pre-k students are having fun learning through different hands on centers this week.
Mrs. Woodard’s and Mrs. Brown's kindergarten friends put their thinking caps on and worked as a team to put events in the correct sequence! They practiced first, next, then, and last while communicating, problem-solving, and helping one another along the way.
Kindergarten students had a very busy day completing all their centers with Mrs. Woodard and Mrs. Brown.
